OPPORTUNITIES FOR SKILLED CRAFTSMEN

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Media Blasting Technician to join our shop-based ambulance restoration team.

Key Responsibilities:

Strip automotive paint and body filler using aluminum oxide media to prepare them for bodywork and painting
Set up, calibrate, and operate blast equipment
Monitor, reclaim, filter, and replace aluminum oxide media to maintain optimal blasting efficiency
Inspect stripped parts for uniform profile finish
Perform daily preventative maintenance on blast nozzles, hoses, seals, ventilation systems, and dust collectors

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong understanding of sheet metal thickness, panel warping prevention, and basic vehicle components
Experience adjusting air pressure (PSI) and media flow rates
Ability to handle high-pressure hoses and stand for long periods of time
Prior experience operating media blasting equipment, preferred but not required

Position is based in a manufacturing environment. Physical activity will include reaching below/above shoulders, kneeling, bending, climbing ladders, lifting & carrying equipment.
