OPPORTUNITIES FOR SKILLED CRAFTSMEN

We are looking for a skilled MIG Welder to join our team. As a MIG Welder at Osage Ambulances, you will play a critical role in the fabrication and assembly of custom-built ambulances. You will work alongside a dedicated team to produce high quality, durable emergency vehicles that meet our customers’ needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG welding on aluminum and other metals to fabricate and assemble custom ambulance parts and components
  • Follow blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate welds and measurements
  • Inspect and prepare metal surfaces for welding
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Welding certification (preferred, but not required)
  • Proven experience as a MIG Welder
  • Previous experience with TIG is highly desirable but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of craftsmanship
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Team player with excellent communication and problem solving skills

Position Summary:

This role serves as a strategic partner to leadership, bridging finance and operational performance. The Controller ensures accurate cost accounting and financials, provides actionable insights, and drives efficiency through data-driven decision-making. The position combines traditional financial controller responsibilities with a strong focus on operational support and improving business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations

  • Prepare, review, and post monthly journal entries and publish financial statements
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of operational financial results, including plant-level P&L
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments
  • Oversee general ledger activity and ensure accuracy of recorded transactions
  • Monitor and explain trends & fluctuations in financial activity

Budgeting & Strategic Planning

  • Prepare forecasts and financial projections to support business planning and decision-making
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to management and make recommendations for cost savings and revenue enhancement 

Leadership & Team Supervision

  • Train, mentor, and oversee accounting team members & processes
  • Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and vendors to enhance financial information 
  • Identify and implement best practices to streamline financial and operational processes
  • Respond to inquiries from management and support ad hoc financial analysis

Audit & Compliance

  • Coordinate with external auditors and prepare required documentation for year-end audits
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control policies
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years in finance or accounting with experience in manufacturing or operations-focused environments
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory valuation, and operational metrics
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel; experience with BI tools is a plus
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to work cross-functionally

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience partnering with plant managers or operations leaders
  • Ability to translate financial data into actionable operational insights
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Minimum of 2 years leadership or supervisory experience
